Namibia: Koryx Completes Phase Two Drilling at Haib Copper Mine

By: Energy capital & power

Canadian mining firm Koryx Copper has completed drilling 17 holes as part of its Phase Two drilling program at the Haib Copper Project in Namibia.

The company initially targeted 37 holes for the campaign. Assay results from 10 holes have confirmed high-grade copper deposits, exceeding the mine’s average mineral resource estimate, while results from the remaining seven holes are expected by mid-March.

The company currently has four rigs on-site, with plans to mobilize two additional rigs by Q2 2025 for Phases Three and Four of its 2025 drilling campaign, targeting a total of 55,000 meters. The exploration program will contribute to an updated Preliminary Economic Assessment and Pre-Feasibility Study for Haib, both scheduled for publication by the end of 2025. Koryx expects to complete permitting and secure approvals for technical studies by the end of 2026.
