Arrow Minerals Discovers High-Grade Bauxite at Guinea Mine

By: Energy capital & power

Approximately 180 drill holes have been completed at the mine since 2007, with analysis samples from 30 holes confirming high-grade mineralization.

“These latest outstanding results confirm that Niagara is a substantial bauxite discovery with high-grade mineralization already outlined over 5 km², with results from another 111 holes offering potential to grow the discovery further,” stated David Flanagan, Managing Director of Arrow Minerals.

The identified area includes three of nine high-priority exploration targets, and the company is progressing with a scoping study due in the first half of 2025. It is also negotiating offtake agreements, while continuing community engagement and environmental studies.

Flanagan noted that the project’s location near the Trans-Guinean railway would support resource monetization and boost local employment and revenue generation. Guinea remains the world’s largest bauxite producer, accounting for 30% of global supply, with stable prices at $100 per ton.
