Qatar’s ports surge ahead in 2024: See 30% transhipment boost
Qatar’s ports witnessed a strong 30% increase in transhipment volumes during the first nine months of 2024 compared to the same period last year, underscoring Qatar’s emergence as a key player in regional trade.
Approximately 1.1 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) were handled, including 522,000 transhipment containers through Hamad Port, the country’s largest commercial hub.
