Brandberg West mine drilling reveals significant concentrations of tim, tungsten, copper

By:Africanminingmarket

The drilling revealed significant concentrations of tin, tungsten and copper.

The latest data comes from ten of the 20 drill holes in the company's first exploration program at the site.

Among the key findings, one drill hole (AT3 07) uncovered a high concentration of tin at 10.55% over a 0.25-meter section, along with tungsten and copper.
Another hole (AT3 04) showed 0.87% tin, 3.53% tungsten and 0.38% copper across a 0.66-meter section.

These results highlight the potential of the area to contain valuable resources, including tin, used in electronics, and tungsten, which is essential in industrial applications.

Additional intersections included 1.75% tin and 0.78% tungsten over a 0.58-meter section and 1.16% tin over 0.51 meters in another drill hole (AT3 19). These consistent findings suggest that the mine could be a promising source of these critical metals.

Andrada's exploration aims to understand the mineral quality and investigate if the deposit extends further north, which these drill results support. The company continues to analyse the area for future development potential.

"The full exploration results will be evaluated to optimise the next exploration phase at Brandberg West," said CEO Anthony Viljoen.

"The addition of tungsten and copper to our critical metals' portfolio complements our strategy to becoming a developer of multiple critical metals to the energy transition and future technological advancements."
