Minerals Council pays tribute to Pravin Gordhan
The former Minister of Public Enterprises and South African Revenue Service (Sars) Commissioner passed away on September 13 at the age of 75, following a period of illness.
Pravin Gordhan held several key positions in the South African government, including Minister of Finance (2009–2014, 2015–2017), and Commissioner of SARS (1999–2009), where he was recognised for his integrity, efforts to combat corruption, and commitment to stabilising key state-owned entities and modernising the country’s tax system.
