Petrobras Targets Africa with 2025 Drilling Campaign

Brazilian multinational Petrobras is pushing forward with its exploration activities in Africa, with key drilling projects planned for 2025.
As reported by Reuters, Sylvia dos Anjos, Petrobras’ Head of Exploration and Production, stated that the company expects to begin drilling exploratory wells between July and August in an oil block in São Tomé and Príncipe, where it holds a stake. Another drilling campaign is scheduled for the second half of the year in South Africa.
Petrobras is expanding internationally as it seeks to strengthen its oil and gas reserves, facing regulatory hurdles for new drilling projects in Brazil. In addition to its African ventures, the company is also assessing opportunities in Argentina and advancing an offshore gas project in Colombia.
