Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi and Minister of Labor Mohamed Gebran visited the Belayim Petroleum fields in Abu Redis, South Sinai.

Badawi explained that his visit to Sinai fields comes to follow up on the efforts of the field work teams in implementing development and production plans & programs, drilling wells, and applying safety and environmental preservation standards, in accordance with the Ministry’s work strategy currently being implemented.

Additionally, Badawi stated that workers in the fields and production sites are the backbone of the petroleum sector, and that each worker has an important role in the petroleum operation system and its development through integrated work as well as working as one team to find new and innovative ideas to increase production rates.

Badawi paid tribute and appreciation to the workers in the Abu Rudis fields area, and thanked all workers at the various petroleum geographic areas and asked them to exert more efforts to increase production.

The Minister also thanked Minister Gebran for his keenness to be present on this visit , praising the spirit of cooperation and integration.

For his part, Gebran noted that the petroleum sector is a promising sector and has a large base of distinguished competencies, and that this sector is the driver of development in Egypt. He thanked Minister Karim Badawi for his invitation to visit this region, which has witnessed many success stories over several decades.
